video attempt
I want to start posting videos on my blog. This is my first attempt with my canon ... I tried to take out the sound but I didn't know how. I tried the audio swap on youtube but it turned the video to 10 minutes and took FOREVER to load.
Thurdsay I met with the North County Society of Fine Arts and painted a watercolor. There wasn't very much shade so we didn't stay long. It's still fun painting "en plein air" I put my piece on ebay, you can see it here.
.
The video is only 1 minute long NOT 9 minutes long.
still learning.

North County Society of Fine Arts Paint Out
The NCSFA paint out was at San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside. There were 6 artists there. It was pretty cold when we got there so I didn't feel too much like painting. I did sketches. Most of the artists worked in watercolor and one worked in pen and ink and another in pastel. There was some pretty nice work . . . I wish I would have taken pictures of some of their artwork.

These are some of the artists painting and sketching.

Some people stopped to look at the art.

These are my sketches I scanned when I got home. The paper in this sketchbook is VERY thin. I don't like the sketches.

This is the front of the church. the person standing in front told my friend she couldn't go in unless she paid the museum fee. I think they should let people in the church. It's a church for heaven's sake. (that's a funny play on words) She let some school children in then locked the doors.

NCSFA Sketch and Paint Out - Lake Wohlford
Today was the North County Society of Fine Arts Sketch and Paint Out at Lake Wohlford.
We met at a turnout. A dangerous turn out. Some people left for another location.
Maybe it was because of the skunk tail or the crackers and cereal all over the place.
Well, that's OK we all met later for lunch and a little show and tell. Mine is the tiniest painting in the center.

NCSFA Sketch and Paint Out - Private Garden

private garden in Escondido, California.
A nice couple lent us their property for the morning and
about 6 ladies from the North County Society of Fine Arts
took pictures and painted.

There was a lot to see in different parts of the 4 acres
that surrounded their home;
including cottages, a fairy garden,
a few waterfalls, ponds, fish and tons of flowers and plants.
