EDM Challenge #3

Everyday matters Challenge #3 is "Purses, Wallets, or Bags". I was at an empty house waiting for someone to come give me an estimate on kitchen cabinets so I drew my purse on the counter. Twice. I am not into name brands, I pick my bags by how well they will carry a sketch book, pen and tiny paint set.

Me and Susan also had an outing planned because she knew of a wonderful place to take pictures of roosters and chickens. I took tons of reference photos - the chickens were laying eggs before our very eyes!

We were a block away from Dos Picos which is a huge park and campground in Ramona, California. They have a fishing lake, lots of shady trees and huge rocks. She gave me a little tour while I checked it out for a possible group paint out location.

Sketches while chatting.

Lydia, these are wonderful paint sketches! You have a very good eye for capturing interesting vignettes.

I've been thinking of you too. Someday I would like to come down to San Diego again, but I don't know when that might be. Saturday we're off to Holland for a week.

Thanks for your comments on my figure drawings.
