North County Society of Fine Arts Paint Out
The NCSFA had their sketch and paint out at Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center, California. It was fun taking pictures of the farm animals and sketching the horse farm next door. These are sketches from my sketchbook.
This sketch was done in preparation for my daily painting.
Left: Pencil with watercolor
Right: Rotring pen
I started to do some thumnails next to the barn page but we ended up talking about perspective and drawing faces. Pencil with watercolor.
The turkey was a beautiful black and white. Any color at all on him showed up nicely. Rotring pen. Red, orange and gray marker.

Paper mache goddess
A paper mache Goddess of Creativity would be cool for my art room. I did research about her and I I have done several sketches trying to come up with a design but they all keep looking the same. I think I am ready to start.
She is the only woman in the 7 Gods of Happiness. I found out about her from my friend Eileen.
This is a little key chain of the 7 Gods that Eileen gave me.
I could NOT find the pictures of Eileen's OLD WOODEN 7 Gods of Happiness. They are just beautiful and in a wooden box that her dad gave her many years ago.

THIS daily painting took days, weeks, maybe a few months to finish. An oil painting of the San Diego Lawn Bowling Club at Balboa Park, San Diego, California. I used a reference photo but don't show faces. I don't get model releases so I use the photo as a reference only, changing body shapes, clothing and hair color.
