Chicken Stamp Carving

This is a page of "tests" from the stamp carving I did after work. It's supposed to be a chicken. It might not look like like a chicken but that's what it is... thank you very much...

Skulls and Bugs

These started with hand carved stamps then colored with various media such as watercolor pencils, marker and guache. I plan to mount them on wood with wire.

Crow stamps

A few years ago I met 2 strangers on the internet. One of them was Stephen Sloan who is an artist, book binder, street performer and an eraser carver. He has inspired me in so many ways. I finally tried my own stamp carvings when making a gift for a friend. This is a "test page" testing 4 stamps of crows I made during the last week. It's getting easier with the right tools and lots of practice. Oh, the other stranger I met was Rachel Kopel my art buddy, book maker and mail artist. Thanks guys!!
