It's #June! Working in #directwatercolor #nolines #onlypaint #chicken #sketchbook #30x30 #30x30directwatercolor2020
There are a few definitions out there about what Direct Watercolor IS. My definition is to paint directly in watercolor without doing a preliminary drawing. In direct watercolor you do not use pencil or any other drawing material in any amount. You can also paint as you wish, which in my case means glazing, painting one color over the other which is an effect I like to see in watercolor paintings. This is my first direct watercolor painting of the month.

Chicken Stamp Carving
This is a page of "tests" from the stamp carving I did after work. It's supposed to be a chicken. It might not look like like a chicken but that's what it is... thank you very much...

Paper Mache Projects

I finished another paper mache cow with sunglasses. He started with a milk carton and cut paper tubes for the legs. The face was formed with crumpled newspaper. The tail and ears were made with cut out cardboard. They were attached to the other parts of the body with masking tape and plaster cloth. It was then covered with paper mache using newspaper and homemade paste. He's painted with acrylic paint.

These are some of the other projects I am working on. From left to right: a chicken, dog, crow in overalls, goddess of creativity, pencil and lawn bowling woman, and in front, a paint brush.

Rooster and Chicken ACEOS

These are my latest ACEOs on my ebay store.
Sorry to the peeps that don't like artists that sell ACEOs.
I AM a working artist and I LOVE IT!
I've done the 9-5.
Would you like to see my cartoon resume?
It needs an amendment though.

Rooster and Chicken
I did another ACEO of a rooster and chicken.
It's been fun but I haven't been doing any larger painting lately
. . . usually I have one going at all times.
The entrance to my art room is getting a little blocked up!
