Butterfly Exhibit at Wild Animal Park

The Butterfly Exhibit is in full swing at San Diego's Wild Animal Park. I took a short video and went back to sketch but there really wasn't anyplace to sit so I sketched the Gorillas instead.

You can view the video here or on my youtube channel, zipchips.

Wild Animal Park, San Diego, CA

There is a Lorikeet Landing at the Wild Animal Park where you can buy little cups of  nector to feed the birds. They fly up and sit on your arm while they DRINK away. When the cup is empty they are off to find more. These are very colorful birds, but I didn't sketch too much. Mostly took pictures.

My favorite animals were the caterpillars.

Wild Animal Park, San Diego

Spent the day with 3 friends sketching at the wild animal park. They have been working on the park and there are lots of new areas to look at. These are the lions where we spent most of our day.

Wild Animal Park, San Diego California

Tuesday I had the pleasure of meeting with my drawing buddies, Susan and Joan. We went to the Wild Animal Park located in Escondido (North County San Diego). I spent most of my time sketching the gorillas.  This is a spread in my Moleskine Cahier - gorillas drawn in marker.
