Everyday Matters #174 Draw a bridge

a funny thing happened after I read that the challenge was a bridge. ..

I actually thought I would have to dig out some old pictures of the Coronado Bay Bridge in San Diego, but I didn't want to go through the hassle.

What bridge can I draw? Where will I find one?

Suddenly, out of the clear blue sky, my friend Eileen emailed some pictures from her recent trip to Berkeley, California.

There it was right in front of my face, bright as day.. the Golden Gate Bridge, in San Francisco.

Here is my sketch and my "entry" for EDM Draw a bridge from drawn from my friend's photo.

Thanks Eileen!

A most excellent watercolour from a serendipitous e-mail.

Great watercolor of the Golden Gate. I also like what you did at the Botanical Gardens. Your blog is great!

You did such a wonderful job with this! And if you ever find the photo of the Coronado Bridge, I'd really love to see you paint it --- I remember it from the early days of our marriage when my husband was in the Navy in San Diego.

Nice bridge! You get sooo much information in so few strokes! What size is it? I still get profile not available when I click on you name in my comment? (cat pic)

I really like the painterly quality of this sketch/painting...and I'm also glad to hear someone else occasionally will draw something from a photograph.
Nice blog (as I might have already said before.)
