My latest relief carvings are 2 of Gary's VW's the 67 Bug and the 67 bus. When he takes the Ghia out of the garage, I will try that one.

Catalina

 Catalina is a little island off the coast of California (22 miles x 8 miles). I had to work there on Friday and got a few sketches done while at lunch and waiting for the ferry back to Dana Point, California. These images are 2x2 inches.



Skulls and Bugs

These started with hand carved stamps then colored with various media such as watercolor pencils, marker and guache. I plan to mount them on wood with wire.

Carving Chops with Stephen

This is one of the chops I made at the Stephen class with my Rachel friends. It's about .5 x .5 inches carved in an eraser. The symbol is the first syllable of my name which means clever. hehe

The video shows my friends, a book we made and all of the other chops and stamps.

Kathy's mural installation party

This video was taken on August 12, 2012 in San Diego, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Kathy's mural is made from handmade tiles and handpainted. It measures ABOUT 6 x 8 feet .

The Human Beast: Printmaking Workshop

Today was the printmaking workshop at the San Diego Museum of Art at Balboa Park. The workshop on relief printing was given by Annika M. Nelson. The 1 minute video shows my linoleum, reference photo and some of the other students work.

Key Chain Books

Today on my day off I made 3 little key chain books. They measure about 2 x 3 inches. The instructions were found in Cloth Paper Scissors, Pages Magazine, Volume 2 in an article by Sue Bleiweiss.

I heard Laura Cain on the Jeff and Jer Showgram talking about Sleep music a few months ago. I want you to know it REALLY works! If you ever have trouble check it out. I used Delta Sleep System by Dr. Jeffery Thompson.

24 hour zine

I had a great surprise in my mailbox this morning. A 24 hour zine by Rachel Kopel, titled 9 Views of the Arbrary which gives a little tour of her new apartment. She also made some stamps. I only know what one of them means though...
