#finally #finished a #mini #crow #book I have been working on. #penandink with #watercolor #accordionbook #minibook #crows #bookbinding #bookarts I have adopted the favorite #quote I heard from my mother in law, "If a task is once begun, never leave it till it's done. Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all."
mmm, I will probably put a border on the paper or something like graphite on the creases so they don't look dirty.

Mini Book Madness with Seth Apter
A mini-book technique taught to me by Seth Apter. The online class was called "Mini Book Madness". He has more scheduled for June if you are interested, check his website or social media. I absolutely loved the class.
I used my own marble paper, my Gelli print papers, magazine cutouts, gel pens, rapido sketch pen, my hand carved stamps, ink, collage papers from my own art and Izink Seth Apter Dye Spray.

Matchbox Book
These are photos of a mini sketchbook I made from instructions found in the book, Book Play by Margaret Couch Cogswell.
The paper of the box was taken from newsprint that I used to cover my art table. It has splotches of paint, hand-carved stamp "tests" and also felt tip pen marks when I was checking to see if they still had ink in them.
The little book is made from past paper I made and has a little accent from the newsprint paper. It is bound with a pamphlet stitch. It was pretty easy and fun to make.
