Daily Painting 12
I had lots of trouble with this piece. I finally asked for help because I was getting lots of "mud". My teach, Kim Farley is showing me oil painting techniques I didn't know before. Unfortunately, I didn't ask for help until the end of class so I didn't get to apply too much of what I learned. This photo doesn't show the whole piece, um, but it does show a lot of the mud.

Daily Painting 11
This is my little daily painting in watercolor, pen and ink.
I started this while with my figure drawing group. It's a wooden rooster. Today I added watercolor and little shapes to the different sections of the rooster. I think the style is folk art but I'm really not sure.

graffiti
I watched an interesting film on "street artists" today. It is a film that follows 6 legendary street artists. They also followed a man that dedicated his days to painting over the graffiti in his city. The DVD is available from Netflix and called Infamy. I am not recommending it . . . just blogging about it because, as usual, I was influenced by what I saw.
I tried to create a "tag" with my name. The first 2 were x rated so I couldn't share them on my blog. Here are the others:
Above: This is a technique where the street artist makes his letters as tall as the space he has.
On this page I wrote some things the artists said at the end of the movie and my nickname: Lyd.
