Life Drawing in Ramona
There is a group of artists in Ramona that let me join their life drawing group today. I have drawn from the model before, but never really painted from the live model. I would love to get a nice painting done one of these days.

Balboa Park, San Diego
This fountain is in the back of a restaurant in Balboa Park.
I took two pieces for the juried show at The San Diego Art Institute
and picked up one that didn't get in last month.
Watercolor, 3 x 4.5 inches
I also picked up a piece that was in the
San Diego Watercolor Society show last month.
Viewing the art at these two galleries made me want to use gauche.
I'm sad that Anna Nicole Smith died.

Children's Pool Beach, La Jolla
Children's Beach in La Jolla was originally designed as a safe
place for children to wade, but is now a haven for sunbathing seals.
There were only about 20 today with lots of pelicans and birds.

Sandwich and Malt Shop on Midland Road
This is a sandwich shop on Midland Road in Poway.
I don't know it's name but it has a Betty Boop
and an ice cream cone outside in the patio AND they have an "A".
The sandwiches are huge . . . and yummy.
