dance rehearsal sketches

My figure drawing group got invited by one of the models to sketch at her dance rehearsal. She is director of this group: http://tdarts.org/

This was done in conte and watercolor background in a watercolor moleskine. The dancers were warming up.

This is all the same girl I sketched her in walnut ink with a Lamy Safari then used a water brush to create tints.

Yes, great people shapes in the conte ones. Very expressive too.

Wow, so much great work here since last time I visited. ALL of the dance sketches are just excellent. What a great place to study the human form. Great work.

Yea! Got the dancers in your blog! I should get back to some drawing and posting now that the Art Glass Guild show and sale is over! Sold one of the tree pendants on my blog and another to a fuser, thats as nice as selling to a jeweler. I'll email my pendant starts of the dancers.
