EDM Challenge #121 Draw a COIN and write about it

My coin is a "buffalo" or "Indian head" nickel dated 1938. I got it when I worked in retail several years ago. We opened a roll of nickels and the entire roll was full of Indian heads. There were about 4 employees working at the time so we split them up between us. I think I just wanted them because everyone else did.

When you see a penny on the ground do you pick it up?

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I read somewhere that when you see a penny it means the earth is trying to give something to us and we should pick it up and take it. Not to shun the gift. That's a nice thought.

I guess.

Maybe.

and then there is the saying...
See a penny, pick it up, and all day long you'll have good luck.

This is my favorite coin! Nothing looks as good as a buffalo nickel! I like all your saying about the penny, too... great stuff!

Nice coin sketch, Lydia! Like you, I sometimes pick up a coin and other times I don't but I like what you wrote about the Earth wanting to give something back. :)
