I got to visit the San Diego Museum of Art after entering a few pieces in the San Diego Art Institute, Museum of the Living Artist . They have a new sketchbook exhibit called Alternative Accounts: Plains Indian Ledger Art from the Nineteenth Century to Now. A bonus was getting to see my friend Stephen the Magician (aka Sleeveless the Magician) after his performance. Sketches done in pencil with watercolor.

A great way to start the year! My "San Diego Pirate" was accepted into the San Diego Watercolor Society's January member juried show. It also won the Juror's Commendation award! the Reception is Friday, January 4, 2013, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM 2825 Dewey Rd., San Diego, CA
