Every Day Matters Challenge #53 is Mouths and "Write about speaking out or holding ones tongue." I used this exercise to do a cartooning practice session from Cartooning the Head and Figure by Jack Hamm. The yawning mouth makes me yawn every time!

My drawing of Bernie on Fox News Channel!
This is funny. . .
The short version: My drawing of Bernie is on Greta Van Susteren's web blog.
The long version: I watch Greta Van Susteren most every evening and once in a while I read her blog. She was stating that according to her email, Bernie Grimm seems to be the viewers' favorite person on her legal panel. I sent in an email saying that I have to agree, I always sketch him while I am watching her show. I actually sketch all of them but I sent her the Bernie sketch.
I was delighted to see that she posted the picture on her blog! It is from March but I just found it the other night!
I feel so happy!

NCSFA Sketch and Paint June 2
My husband and I took our dogs to Kit Carson Park in Escondido to take pictures of Sand Lake. This little pond looks different everytime I go!
The North County Society will have a Sketch and Paint out at this location on June 2nd, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. No instructor, no fees, guests welcome. Take 15, exit on Via Rancho Parkway (turns into Bear Valley Parkway), Kit Carson Park is on the left. There is parking across the pond in front of the green and beige sports building.
EDM Challenge #44 was done from a few photos I took today
- practicing my "quick sketching techniques".

Do you like pastrami?
Rancho Cucamunga
If you ever get to visit southern California you have to go to the HAT. It was one of our late night stops "back in the day." We only had one Hat back then, on the street corner of Garfield and Valley Blvd., in Alhambra. It was open at the time of night when nothing else was open and an attack of the Munchies came over us. It's a good memory and the beef dips, pastramis, and fries are just as good as ever.

NCSFA Sketch and Paint Out
I was the only one at the paint out today.
It was freezing cold but I still had a good time sketching and painting!

I tried a new signature, sort of Japanese style with my initials in a rectangle.
Probably influenced by my friend, Eileen.

The 3 little blobs in the water are ducks.
My husband taught me that.
Waiting for my son.
